This past month has been the most emotional, humbling, and tumulteous I have ever experienced in my life. It was exhausting. My mom has been battling cancer for almost three years and on November 2nd, the day after my last ‘Now Trending’ post, she hit an all time low with her health and was admitted to the hospital. Between two hospitals, countless doctors and nurses, she spent a total of 28 days. I am so happy and relieved to say she is home now, but we still have a long way to go. There were days that I couldn’t crawl out of bed, and nights where tears soaked my pillow. I have never been so happy to see December, and will be over the moon by the time Christmas arrives. Stay humble. Be kind.
Reading: Nothing at the moment! I know that’s bad.
Watching: Survivor. Because we all love it. I bawled last night for Adam and his brother.
Working on: The last of the 2016 Weddings and Sessions. I still feel like I’m under a pile of editing…only 11,000 images to go!
Listening to: The Jazz Station. It’s perfect editing vibes.
Wearing: Lululemon Leggings. I work all day at the computer then head to the studio to teach! I live in them.
Missing: Travels. This time last year I was leaving Indonesia and headed for Singapore.
Anticipating: Christmas. It’s been two years since I have been home for one. This is a big one.
Drinking: Apothic Dark Crush.
Planning: 2017. My calendar is filling, and I love it. I want to bring new energy for all my clients.
Inspired by: My 2017 couples, I have a few engagement sessions coming up this month.
Celebrating: Mom, getting out of the hospital. It’s been a long and emotional month, and we still have a long way to go. Taking the little wins and the love when we can.
So happy to hear moms home. I hope you can find time to shut off the computer and just relax.
